Faerie Tailor’s Faerie Museum
Venue: Outside The Creel at Westport Quay
Sat Oct 26rd - Mon Oct 28th, 1pm-6pm
The Faerie Museum is an exhibition to delight all ages, put together by the Faerie Tailor (AKA Donegal artist Emily Bazeley). A journey into delicate detail, it’s an invitation to notice the little things. Viewers are immersed in a miniature world where magic, faerie dust and a talented tailor have transformed found materials into faerie-folk clothing, furniture and dwellings.
The Faerie Tailor uses only natural materials that she has found, such as pinecones, acorns, leaves and even bugs and bones. Her hunting grounds are not only forest floors, gardens and beaches, but also city streets and car parks … places you would not expect to find faerie inspiration, but nature gets everywhere!
The Faerie Museum will take you gently by the hand and lead you to a place of wide-eyed wonder. The more you look, the more you see, so the most observant visitors will find real, everyday magic.
For more great family fun, why not check out the wonderful Marty Moncrieff the Teddy Bear Thief? With two daytime shows to choose from on Saturday 26th October, this show tickles the funny bone of audiences both little and large wherever it goes.
