Kintsugi - McGing's Exhibition
Now in its 12th year, the much loved McGings Open Exhibition returns. This year exploring the theme Kintsugi; the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery and adorning its scars with precious metals. It is the art of embracing damage and not discarding broken things, of cherishing the imperfect and loving the mended. The concept is a beautiful take on the festivals Brittle / Fragile arts theme.
The launch will take place on, Thursday, 24th of October at 6.30pm, in McGings Pub, Westport. Works will be available for purchase for the duration of the festival.
