Stinging Fly Press editor Declan Meade will give a fascinating talk on getting published and launch Stinging Fly Stories. A collection of work by some of the country’s most gifted contemporary writers, the anthology celebrates 20 years of Stinging Fly.
The Stinging Fly magazine was established in 1997 to seek out, publish and promote the very best new Irish and international writing. Publishing twice yearly since March 1998, it champions the short-story form.
The Stinging Fly Press was launched by Meade in 2005, with Watermark, by Seán O’Reilly, as its first title. Other publications include There Are Little Kingdoms, by Kevin Barry; The China Factory, by Mary Costello; and Young Skins, by Colin Barrett.
