‘Enjoyably idiosyncratic … a sonic tonic’ – Hotpress on Zaska
‘They have it. They know it. They flaunt it’ – Totally Dublin on TPM
Time to get your best spooky groove on! This year’s Westival Halloween Ball is themed Shock and Awe – will your costume be shockingly awesome, or awesomely shocking? Either way, you’ll be dancing the night away to the terrifyingly good tunes of three top-tier Irish acts.
Sonic architect Max Zaska and his eight-piece collective, Zaska, are guaranteed to keep you on the dance floor with their feel-good blend of funk, neo-soul, jazz and R&B – warm, retro feels to make the soul sing. Their debut album, ‘It Takes A Village’, features over 25 Irish musical luminaries, including Wyvern Lingo, Loah, BARQ, Little Green Cars.
TPM, comprised of Dundalk brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy, have taken the world by storm with their anarchic hip-hop punk. Whether it’s dole queues, curry chips or RTÉ, no aspect of modern Ireland is safe from their hilarious brand of cutting satire, astute commentary and stage banter. These guys are building a huge cult following with their infectious grooves – and deservedly so.
The fright-night fun will be finished off in style by DJ Glamo’s mix of high camp and vibrant house music. A festival favourite, this deck diva has doled out the dance tunes at many festival all summer; Another Love Story, Love Sensation, It Takes A Village, Body & Soul, Electric Picnic, Mother and more.
Warning: You’ll be frightfully shocked at just how awesome this night will be.
