Float in a Meditative Sound Bath Experience created by Sidhe Sound Healing in collaboration with Éalu le Grá.
Everything in the Universe has a vibration and a frequency including our bodies.
A Sound Bath is an immersion in beautiful sounds and vibrations that invite deep rest and relaxation for your body, mind and spirit.
The term ‘bath’ signifies being bathed in sound waves – there’s no water or touching involved. The sounds literally wash over and through your body at a cellular level creating a deeply relaxing, meditative and healing experience.
The event begins with each person lying down or seated in a comfortable position, with a blanket and an eye mask. I begin with a short introduction and a few minutes of guided focus on the breath and active listening to settle everyone in for relaxation. The remainder of the experience is filled with different sounds and frequencies being introduced in succession. The sounds are created by a variety of overtone-emitting instruments, including Gongs, Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Chimes, Tuning Forks, Shamanic Drum and other percussive instruments. I strike, stroke and play the instruments in a variety of ways to create therapeutic sound waves that reverberate across the space and envelops all within it. These sounds and notes are at different frequencies that help enhance and guide the attendees through the whole experience.
One of the many beautiful things about a sound bath is that the experience really is in the EAR of the beholder. Each of us has a unique relationship to sound and music- driven by our personality, our character, and the people and places that have influenced our lives. Each brain will interpret sounds differently based on the physiology of the inner ear as well as life experiences, current mood and other personal variables. Thus creating an experience that is personal yet universal and both privately and simultaneously shared.
Sound Baths are suitable for people of all ages, from the very young to the elderly. No previous experience of working with Sound or Meditation is necessary.
Sound Baths can bring us to an internal state of silence. They allow for a complete relaxation, balancing of emotions and our bodys’ own natural bio- rhythm. Reducing stress and tension and harmonizing us on our own natural frequency.
Inviting deep rest and relaxation, exploring self-inquiry and self-discovery whilst cocooned in a sonic immersion.
‘I would highly recommend anyone to take a sound bath by the Master of her Craft. I’m a lifelong fan now and every time I close my eyes and drift away to her sounds I’m transported to a place I can’t describe in words because you just have to experience it for yourself. Trust me, you can thank me later. This is an experience you can’t miss out on.’
D.Gilna Playwright, Performer, Producer.
‘To say she is a master of her craft is an understatement’
*We ask attendees to please bring their own cushions, blankets and eye masks to the event. Chairs will also be provided.
