Gabrielle–Mary Bishop is a Kilmeena based multimedia artist working with natural colour and light. In this talk you will learn about how she gathers colour from the kitchen, dye garden and surrounding landscape to make paints, dyes and inks for her art works. She will also demonstrate some of her dye techniques and present her Wild Colour Waterfall, a curtain of naturally dyed fabrics made from plants gathered from the garden and Mayo countryside this year. The curtain will be on display at Westport Library window and will be lit up for evening viewing.
