Dramatic renditions drawn from contemporary European and Irish poetry, and blended with music, centre on the emotional shrapnel of war and exile---devastating loss, displacement, alienation-- amidst a desperate human need for belonging somewhere---exposing the urgent need for inclusive communities that foster healing and belonging.

Musicians: Nick Roth, Emer Mayock, Donal Siggins

Sean Lysaght: Sean is a poet and nature writer whose works include ‘Eagle Country’,
‘Wild Nephin’ and the play ‘Achill’. His most recent collection of poetry is ‘New Leaf’.

Ger Reidy: Ger is a writer whose fourth collection of poetry, ‘Before Rain’, was published in 2024. He hopes to publish his second collection of short stories in 2025.

Nick Roth: Nick is a composer, saxophonist, producer and educator whose inventiveness and curiosity toexplore and create is insatiable, and knows no boundaries. He has collaborated with an array of international performers, choreographers, visual artists, poets and composers. He has served as artist in
residence at institutions that include ESTEC and IMMA, is a founding member of the Yurodny Ensemble, and is a partner at Diatribe Records, Ireland’s leading label for new music.

Emer Mayock: Emer, musician and composer, has performed with countless traditional musicians including Paddy Glackin, Micheal O’ Domnnail, Peter Horan and Breton’s Jean-Micchel Veillon. Her far reaching collaborations include jazz musicians Francesco Turrisi, Nick Roth and Bulgarian Kaval player Theodosal Spassov. In 2014 she was a co-recipient for the TG4 Gradam Ceoil award for ‘Tunes From The Goodman Manuscripts’, and more recently with Rhiannon Giddens in a recording which won the 2022
Grammy for Best Folk album.

Donal Siggins: Donal is a traditional musician who has performed with Breton flautist Jean-MichelVeillon and fiddle player Paddy Glackin among many others. He recently performed in Nick Roth’s ‘A Fool’s Errand’.
