In rural Mayo, three displaced Ukrainian families rebuild their lives with hope, courage, and commitment to a new community. Kate, once a corporate lawyer, now faces the challenge of retraining in an unfamiliar legal system while helping her children settle into a new school – all in the absence of their father, who has been conscripted. Victor, a retired father with an aging mind, works to bridge language barriers and find belonging in a local men’s group. Meanwhile, Maryna and her children, facing housing insecurity and relentless financial strain, take things day by day while striving towards a sense of normality. Together, they prove resilience knows no borders - even far from the front lines.
