Christopher Coe (Live) 12.00am
Hailing from the rugged West of Ireland, Christopher Coe has become one of the country’s most compelling voices in electronic music. A true craftsman of live performance, Coe builds his sets in real time, weaving hypnotic rhythms, deep grooves, and layered textures into an experience that is as unpredictable as it is immersive. His shows are not simply concerts, but journeys — shifting from moments of meditative stillness to surges of driving techno energy that keep audiences locked in from beginning to end.
Over the years Coe has collaborated with artists as diverse as Mad Professor, Carl Cox, Zbigniew Karkowski and Stelarc. He has always put art before commerce, following instinct and vision over trends. This commitment has shaped a career that is as innovative as it is uncompromising.
With performances spanning from underground clubs in Berlin to festival stages in Ibiza and Amsterdam, Coe is celebrated for marathon sets where improvisation and instinct guide the night, creating an electricity that cannot be replicated. Alongside his work as a performer, he is also a producer, label head, and creative collaborator, continually pushing the boundaries of what live electronic music can be.
For Westival, Coe returns home with a performance specially crafted for Bar 23. Expect intensity, euphoria, and the unmistakable pulse of techno at its most alive. This is more than a homecoming gig, it is a chance to experience one of Ireland’s finest electronic artists in his element, up close and in full flow.
