Opening Wednesday 28th of October at Customs House Gallery at 6pm

Na Cailleacha, ‘About Time’ is a new exhibition by the art collective Na Cailleacha, which is dedicated to making art that reflects the experience of being older women (70 or over) creative practitioners interested in age-related issues around health, loss, visibility, loneliness, and strategies to deal for them.

The exhibition takes its name from a new body of individual projects made under the collective title ‘About Time’ which will draw on experiences and discussions we have had about challenges to creativity, mental and physical health and a growing sense that climate change is ageing our world as we, too, feel the impact of time. We will also use this opportunity to introduce the work of the newest member of our collective, Mary Fitzgerald.

The exhibition will be grounded by a selection of earlier projects such as the collectively created School of Hibernia (after Raphael) 2024 which was shown to considerable acclaim in Rome in February of this year. It will include artist’s books, film and video and other multi-media installation and a new composition by Carole Nelson.
