Hailed as the most awarded artists in the history of the RTÉ Folk Awards, brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn have become a cornerstone of the Irish folk revival. What began in Carlow as a shared love of traditional music grew into a singular force—harmonically rich, emotionally grounded, and deeply rooted in tradition.

Their sound carries the weight of generations yet feels startlingly fresh, blending Irish, Appalachian and British folk with a quiet intensity that’s entirely their own. Their critically acclaimed albums, including The Hare’s Lament and Nine Waves, have earned praise from The Irish Times, Folk Radio, Uncut and Songlines, as well as musical kin like Glen Hansard and Roy Harper.

They’ve shared stages with Lisa Hannigan, Villagers, and even joined Glen Hansard on his European tour after a chance meeting at Electric Picnic. In recent years, they’ve sold out shows across Ireland and the UK, and continued to evolve, pushing the boundaries of traditional music with collaborators from Crash Ensemble and beyond.

This is a rare chance to experience one of Ireland’s most quietly powerful live acts in an intimate festival setting. Join us as Ye Vagabonds bring their spellbinding sound to Westport.
